Who I am

About

Hi, I'm Stan Pogrebnyak.

20+ years driving technology transformation across enterprise environments, focused on production-grade AI systems, MLOps/LLMOps, and cloud-scale platforms. I combine deep infrastructure expertise with leadership coaching to help teams ship AI faster—reliably and at scale.

What I care about most is building environments where teams can do great work without burning out: where clarity, trust, and the right habits replace heroics and firefighting. I've had the chance to put this into practice at companies like Jimdo and Lobster Ink (Ecolab)—leading multiple teams, driving cloud and product changes, and turning engineering culture into a real advantage. My approach stays hands-on and practical: DevOps/SRE, Agile, Team Topologies, and operational discipline that sticks. If that resonates, I'd love to hear from you.

Background

Head of Engineering (Platforms & Tooling) at Jimdo; former Senior Engineering Manager at Lobster Ink (Ecolab). Earlier: Cloud Architect and DevOps consultant at Portbase and Xebia.

AI systems at scale

  • Led AI infrastructure and knowledge system deployment at Ecolab (Fortune 500, ~48,000+ employees, 170+ countries), enabling enterprise-wide AI-powered knowledge access at scale.
  • Built and scaled AI-driven training systems at Lobster Ink, supporting tens of thousands of video assets and implementing AI-based translation and localization pipelines.
  • Currently leading large-scale AI document analysis systems at Compend, deploying enterprise-grade NLP pipelines in production environments.
  • Helped build scalable AI infrastructure for Eye.photo, processing tens of thousands of images monthly with automated iris analysis pipelines.

What I focus on

Production-grade AI, MLOps/LLMOps, cloud-scale platforms, engineering leadership, and scaling distributed teams—plus DevOps/SRE and cultures where excellence and collaboration are the norm.

Based in

Hilversum, The Netherlands. I work in English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Dutch (A2/B1).
